To start, let's define the Listening skill, it is the ability to understand something by hearing without effort and listening Strategies are the tools that allow us to build this ability. Listening infer it's about makeup information that is missing or unclear information but with clues with previous information. you have to makeup new ideas according to what you heard before, right, and predict it's about, let's imagine in the audio you heard the topic. So, you can predict about what is going to be the audio
Listening skills are required abilities that enable a person to listen without a great deal of deliberate, effort or conscious. Planning the early result of actions that have been practiced frequently in various situations. On the other hand, listening strategies are ways of listening that are plant and consciously adopted to improve comprehension and communication, as well as cope with listening difficulties. According to the other their a difference between skills and strategies. Skills are more related to something automatic. Like driving a car when you get used to do it every day, eventually you won’t have to think deeply about it because you have developed the ability to drive. So, it’s not something that you have to be active thinking about it. Regarding strategies, those are the steps you follow to help you achieving something. In this context, they can become a skill, but they do require time and effort.
To conclude, listening is not just hearing. It is an active process that may be done even before the first page sign out is recognize an email go on long after the input or spoken information has stopped meaning to not be simply extracted from the sound signals and understanding as a result of active construction occurring at all levels of texts and context of the topic of participants to communication, purpose and a place or setting for the interaction.
