Interlanguage

      To begin with I must say interlanguage refers to the linguistic system evidenced when an adult SL learner attempts to express meanings in the language being learned. In addition, this linguistic system encompasses not just phonology, morphology, and syntax, but also lexical, pragmatic, and discourse levels of interlanguage. (p.748). The term interlanguage (IL) was introduced by the American linguist Larry Selinker to refer to the linguistic system evidenced when an adult second language learner attempts to express meanings in the language being learned. The interlanguage is viewed as a separate linguistic system, clearly different from both tbe learner's 'native language' (NL) and the 'target language' (TL) being· 1earned, but linked to both NL and TL by interlingual identifications in the perception of the learner.

     Let's continue with another term related to this manner. Fossilization, it was another a theory presented and described by the Terran, and this theory is explained regarding linguistical elements that might stop working after poverty and second language learners cannot access them anymore. Knowledge is built by experiences, thus, for native English native speakers, they're experiences have gotten them toward their comprehension whereas we have not had those experiences. Therefore, it will be impossible for us to reach such understanding of the world.

    To sum up, interlanguage is like middle ground where we don’t identify completely as native speakers of our L2 as it always gets influenced by our L1 language, our L1 will interfere on how we produce utterance patterns in L2, and even when we achieve mastering of both languages is impossible master them at 100% as languages change
